For a Synodal Church - 2021-2023

Let us consider some of the objectives of this Synod journey:

  • Examining how responsibility and power are lived in the Church as well as the structures by which they are managed, bringing to light and trying to convert prejudices and distorted practices that are not rooted in the Gospel
  • Accrediting the Christian community as a credible subject and reliable partner in paths of social dialogue, healing, reconciliation, inclusion and participation, the reconstruction of democracy, the promotion of fraternity and social friendship
  • Regenerating relationships among members of Christian communities as well as between communities and other social groups, e.g., communities of believers of other denominations and religions, civil society organizations, popular movements

  • Please share your reflection by

  • Clicking the link and filling out the Google Form

  • Write a response and give it to a member of our Synod Team after mass, or drop it off in the box in the main vestibule or at the Parish Center
  • Everything shared will be heard, read (keeping your identity confidential if you wish), and summarized in our Parish Report for Bishop Caggiano.
You may talk about whatever your heart moves you to, even if it diverges from the weekly topic.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to be heard!

Remember, during Lent, we will offer sessions for people to gather around tables to journey together face-to-face and share.  You can join one or more sessions.  We will have dates soon!

Thank you for journeying with us,
    The HNoJ Synod Team
